Copal is a resin that is produced from plant sap usually from the genus Copaifera. Copal or Copalite are organic resins that aren’t old enough to have hardened and fossilized enough to become Amber. Copal has been used as incense throughout history and has a rich, earthy scent much like Frankincense.
