$18.95$159.95

Description

This extract has a confirmed 50% Resveratrol, thought to be the main active ingredients in Japanese Knotweed.

These herbal extracts are ideal for adding to herbal teas, or other beverages, and can also be added to foods. When calculating the required amount, consider how much of the normal herb you would use, and divide that by at least 10 as these extracts are concentrated. The Japanese Knotweed extract is safe to consume, a typical dose would be 500 mg twice a day and the maximum recommended would be 2000 mg per day.

Polygonum cuspidatum, is a species of herbaceous perennial plant in the knotweed and buckwheat family Polygonaceae. Common names include Japanese knotweed and Asian knotweed. It is native to East Asia in Japan, China and Korea.

Polygonum cuspidatum has a long history as a medicinal plant and vegetable. Polygonum cuspidatum has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of inflammation, hyperlipemia, etc.

Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant and anti-microbial extract and as such it is suitable for a range of anti-ageing products. This plant-based active was first identified in red wine as it is present in the skin of red grapes and has been thought to be one of the key actives responsible for the health benefits of that popular beverage. Resveratrol isn’t just found in grapes, ours comes from the Japanese Knot Weed and it is also possible to extract resveratrol from blueberries.

Resveratrol has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, glucose and lipid regulatory, neuroprotective, and cardiovascular protective effects, therefore, can protect against diverse chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), cancer, liver diseases, obesity, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.
